Etimologia: o material tipo foi encontrado no interior de bromélias (Tillandsia), de onde deriva o nome da espécie

Descrição original:

(Pilsbry,1930); “The shell is umbilicate, thin, rather slender, cinnamon colored variegated with a few irregular white streaks; slightly translucent. Surface glossy, the first 11 whorls having close microscopic spiral striae as wide or wider than their intervals; subsequent whorls obliquely, unevenly wrinkled along growth lines, and covered with extremely fine, delicate spiral threads, rather widely spaced. The whorls are strongly convex. Aperture is narrow, oblong, with simple peristome, the columellar margin dilated; the parietal callus short and thin.”
