Descrição original:
(Grego & Szekeres, 2004): “The chestnut- to violet-brown shell is spindle shaped, consists of 8 2/3 to 9 1/2 whorls. Its surface is covered by uniformly spaced dense striae which become coarser behind the peristome. The neck is dominated by a strong and sharp crest. The peristome is slightly pointed at the basis, giving its moderately widened brownish margin a triangular shape. The lamella superior is strong, it forms a small wave at its connection to the well-developed lamella spiralis.
The lamella inferior is weakly bent at its lower end, reaching close to the peristome margin, at midheight of the aperture. The lamella subcolumellaris is visible in an oblique view. The inner end of the plica principalis lies on the dorsolateral side. At the top end of the lunella the upper palatal fold is barely recognisable.
The basalis is rudimentary, but the subclaustralis is well developed, continuous with the lunella. The lamella subcolumellaris stands separated from the lunella and subclaustralis. The clausilium plate, that becomes narrower toward its tip, is fully visible through the aperture.”
