Etimologia: o nome da espécie deriva da palavra em Latim “creteus”, giz, referindo-se à textura da superfície das conchas desta espécie

Descrição original:

(V. Scarabino & F. Scarabino, 2011): “Shell 5.5 mm long, opaque chalky-white, fragile. Maximum diameter on anterior third. Dorsal side almost straight, ventral evenly convex on anterior threefourths of shell, straight to apex. In dorsal view, sides present outline similar to ventral. Apex large, simple, circular in section, callus thick. Oral aperture oblique, slightly compressed laterally. Growth lines oblique”
