Habitat: Além do fato da localidade-tipo situar-se a cerca de 1750 m de altitude, dentro do bioma campestre, nada se sabe sobre o habitat desta espécie

Comentários: Prestonella é o único gênero conhecido da Super família Orthalicoidea que ocorre no continente africano

Nome original: Prestonella quadingensis Connolly, 1929

Etimologia: o nome da espécie é uma referência à localidade tipo “Quading”, no atual Lesoto
