Etimologia: o nome da espécie, nomeada por Weyrauch em seus rótulos, por suas espirais arredondadas, do Latim: “convexi” = arredondado, “volvis“= espiral
Descrição original:
(Nordsieck, 2005): “Shell with conical apical part, whorls much rounded; whitish yellowish-brown; teleoconch whorls obliquely ribbed, on the neck hardly coarser; neck rounded, dorsally inflated, with subsutural swelling; aperture descending, turned outward, roundish-oval to oval, yellowish-brown inside; superior lamella continuous with spiral lamella by a faint curve, lamellae at the connection slightly lowered; inferior lamella in high position, straightly ascending with a weak spiral, high inwards, in front lowered on the columellar edge, hardly bent and ending; subcolumellar lamella descending to the lunellar, lower end separated from lunella, in oblique view visible far inwards;
lunellar dorsally situated, principal plica ending about laterally; upper palatal plica parallel to principal plica, connected with lunella by a curve, lunella callous, arcuate, posterior lower palatal plica weakly developed, connected with lunella by an obtuse angle; clausilium plate in oblique view fully visible, distally somewhat pointed, in part with outer corner.”
