Descrição original:
(Dall 1917): “Shell high, more conical and slightly larger, blackish periostracum which is raised on the spire between sutures into two or three fringed short spiral threads; the periostracum appears to be of an adhesive nature and all the specimens in their original condition are more or less covered with a blackish coating”
